I Need a Vacation

IMG_3076

Would I be a bad mother if I said that this is how I prefer Sophie most days. . . crashed out on the couch unconscious?

I love the girl, but we're really struggling lately. I'll spare you all the whiny, mean-to-her-sister, wet-her-pants-everyday, throw-a-fit-over-everything details.

Honey, if that makes you a bad mother, than I'm the worst of them all. As far as I'm concerned, kid's bedtime is the best part of the day.

I know (read: hope-with-all-my-heart) it won't always be like this, but WOW what an age these kids are... so difficult!!

If it makes you feel any better, I tend to feel more positively toward my children when they are sleeping. Or being super sweet. But some days sleeping is the only one that pans out. :)

Hey, we all deserve a break! I secretly wish for a nice long three day weekend all by myself. Today I was HAPPY to have a doctor's appointment. I got to go all by myself while my hubby took the kids to breakfast and to play at the mall. It's pretty sad when sitting in an exam room for way too long while getting to play on my iTouch feels like a Mom's Day Out!

Nope. Not a bad Mama...I say that because I feel the same way. (; She IS quite cute when she sleeps. We should do a kid swap so we can both get a break. But...I guess my 3 isn't exactly a fair swap for your 2!
I guess you'll just have to really really cherish naptime! :)

I'm with you too. I must say that I am seeing more and more glimpses of a sweeter girl now that Adelyn has turned three. Maybe its just that age, lets hope.

Did I tell you about this blog I read recently where it said their daughter had the "terrible twos" until she was 12, then it struck again when she hit 16? It made me laugh because that is probably the course Asher is on. I am totally with you, though. Breaks are nice. If you ever want to bring Sophie over to hang out, (you can come too of course), know that I am here.

I sooooo need one too! Let's go together! For what it's worth, closer to age three and three we're much harder for me to deal with, than two. I don't know how I'm making it through! I know Hallie feels left out at times, and when I give her more attention, rather than just getting her busy with something, it's soooo much better. Even using the potty. (Remember, that goes in phases. I don't care what any parent says!) You're doing great! Sure miss ya!

That's what I think about Bentley every night once he's asleep. I'm glad I'm not the only one! I'm learning three is going to be a very trying age, for both of us. And I am in the same stage with him having days of wetting himself. He is so good for 4-5 days at a time, then it's like he just doesn't care. It's a good thing they're cute.
