I feel like a horse's backside for not posting something yesterday. After all we've gone through with Steve being in the military, I should be shouting praises from the rooftops to the troops who have given their lives for our country. I really am grateful, but I tend to keep military-related things, especially personal feelings, to myself. Although Steve has been back from Afghanistan for three years now (on Sunday to be exact), I still have emotional "shudders" from when he was gone. It's a sensitive subject if I delve to deeply.
Just know that I'm proud of Steve and the rest of the men and women for serving our country, and I pray for those whose loved ones gave their lives.

I can't imagine how hard it was for you and your family while Steve was serving...I guess I'll know a bit more soon...my 18 year old brother is enlisting in the Marines this fall.
So many thanks to Steve and all that have served and given their lives to protect us here at home.
I went to the cemetery on Monday to photograph the flags and all the emotion of the gravesites, and was deeply moved as I read the names and ages of all those that fought for our country. We have alot to be thankful for.
