FYI

There is no Crisco at Costco. Ha . . . Crisco, Costco, Crisco, Costco.

There is powdered sugar, but you have to buy 50 lbs of it. That surprised me, but it shouldn't have.

The purchase that made the trip to Costco worthwhile was a package of 44 uncooked tortillas for under $7. I just made a quesadilla with a couple and, man . . . they're good. (And trans-fat free.)

Are you sure? I could have sworn I saw some once....sometimes different Costcos carry different items. I will be on the look-out for you though :)

Just when I thought Costco had everything you could possibly need. I still wish we had Costco in this part of Texas. Then I could spend my saturdays getting great food samples and eating at their delicious (and cheap!) food court.

Mmmm, Costco. There's a new one in Taichung, and I cannot begin to explain the majesty of having it there. But that majesty involves cheese, so I know you understand.

Chelsea A. - They have food there? They just built one just down the street from us and I'd never heard of it. Steve thought it was like a Staples.

Mary - I would not be able to go 6 months without cheese. It would have been the best thing ever to have a Costco in Moscow. The closest thing we found was an international grocery store that sold pop tarts. You guys are lucky. :)

yup! it's actually a cool store. it's food and restaurant supply, so they have containers of every size (disposable) and often have items in bulk. http://www.smartandfinal.com/index.aspx

Natalie, Have you been to the Business Costco in Hayward? They have things in smaller sizes. It is on A Street. Just a thought! lisa

Don't you have to have a business membership to go there? That's what I thought, but if I could get in that would be awesome. Thanks! :)

The business one is open to everyone with whatever membership. That's the one we usually go to because it is faster to get the quick stuff, they just don't have EVERYTHING you find at the other one....maybe that's where I saw the Crisco before. They even have smaller milk cartons....and LOTS of cheese.
