Like Mother Like Daughter

One of Sophie's favorite things to do lately is to pull herself up to the piano and play. She loves to sit on the bench and bang around for a few minutes. Hopefully this is an inkling of a future interest. :) On a side note, her hair usually looks orphan-like now because she pulls out anything I put in there.

I love this picture. It makes me want to kiss her face off.

We're still growing into a few pants.

Getting the right fingers on the right notes is tricky sometimes.

She reads music too! Brilliant!


If you watch the whole clip (about 2 min 15 sec) here are a few cute things to watch for:

1. The way her fingers play the keys, especially her pointer finger.
2. Near the beginning she turns the metronome on and then looks around because she can't figure out where the sound is coming from.
3. Toward the end she rests her head on the keys. I thought that was really cute.
