Facebook

There are reasons why you shouldn't be on the Internet late at night. For some it's porn, others it's online shopping. For me, it's signing up on websites. I was up late blogging last night and started to wander around. The next thing I knew I was signed up for Facebook. Oh great, like I don't already have enough online to keep me busy!

I tried the MySpace thing for a while, but I thought it was lame. Facebook seems to be more tame and no one's profile is public, which is nice. I even let it search my gmail address book. Little did I know almost all of my friends are already on Facebook. I feel like the last one to walk into a party.

That's all.

Don't worry. :) I must admit to knowing extremely little about facebook and rarely visiting it. Honestly, I finally decided to "join" just so my friends could have easy (or easier) access to my contact info. I keep trying to redirect people to our family website. :)

^^^ Amen to what she said. :) Most people turn to Facebook when it comes to making connections with long-time (or long-lost) friends, so we're on there. But if you really want to keep up with our comings and goings, just come to our website. :) That's why we have a link to it from our profile.

Frankly, it's enough work to keep up one one website (now two) with two children and all the other demands of life hanging over us. My hat goes off to those who can do it all, plus stay active on Facebook - that's pretty amazing!

I agree. I don't think I'll be pimping my facebook page like I do my blogs :)

I tried using Facebook for a while, but I guess I'm just getting more out of touch as school gets harder. I signed up for facebook and the next thing I know I've got a thousand "Hug a Mormon Day!" invites, "Super-Duper Best Friend List" invites, and various gift invites. It's nice because I've been able to contact some of my past acquaintances, but the problem is that some of them I don't want to contact :/ I think I want to get off it now because I just don't have the energy to keep up with it. It's kinda' like this blogging thing. I sorta' feel compelled to do a blog because I know that about 10-15 people actually look at it from time to time and like to know what I'm doing, but it's hard to think of something good to put on it. Maybe I'll just make Sharon the designated blogger in our family :)

Okay, I feel dumb. I've been added by all my freinds on Facebook and gotten the emails, but when I click the link to verify, it never seems to take me to the correct page. I guess I will need you to show me what I'm doing wrong, Natalie! You are so web savvy!
