Big Girl Seat

We've started putting Sophie in highchairs and the little grocery cart seats instead of taking her carrier everywhere. Nope, she hasn't out-grown it yet. She might be 17 pounds now, but I'm not sure.

I got one of those covers that go over both types of seats and it's been great so far. People always ask me if I made it. Ha. I wouldn't even know where to start. Do they not see the label and tags hanging from it?

Having lunch at Quiznos, which was the only place to eat within walking distance of the repair shop we took the car to. Stupid battery cable.

We must shove both fingers all the way into the mouth to make sure the Cheerios go in and stay in.

I couldn't resist getting another shot of those lashes. Is it weird to be jealous of your baby?

Oh, and the irises opened. I love having fresh flowers on the kitchen table!

Out of curiosity, have you been keeping track of the length limit on the car seat? I had Jonathan in an infant seat up until 10 months because he was still way under the weight limit, then I realized he'd outgrown the length limit a long time before! Emma lasted less than 6 months (because I knew to watch for the length limit for her). Just something I've learned from experience. :)

I remember you telling me that, and I thought about checking her this week. I'll have to look up the length limit because I don't even remember what it was :)

Check the car seat--mine all have a sticker on the side that gives the weight and length limits. I felt really dumb when I realized it with Jonathan because the length limit had been right there the whole time. :)

We got a new carseat for Jakob and to be honest, I missed the infant carrier so we started using it again. He hasn't grown out of it yet but he's on the verge. I like using high chairs and shopping carts, but trying to get him in and out of the car seat is such a pain. Oh yeah, and carrying him with a bunch of groceries is really hard too. I'm afraid I'm going to drop him. Anyway, the infant carrier is totally heavy, but if he's asleep, he'll stay asleep in that. In the other car seat, he always wakes up when I try to get him out. I feel bad. Oh well, that's life I guess. You just roll with the punches.

i love your chair cover. I love anything toile.

I think having fresh flowers make all the difference in a home. I told my sis once that I'd try to always budget for flowers (at least a bunch from costco) because of the way they brighten up a drabby space.
