Entertain Yourselves, Please

When I was pregnant with Ivy people would say, "Oh, you'll love having two so close in age! They'll play together all the time and be the best of friends!" All of the smacks in the face, being dragged across the floor, having toys taken away, and getting hourly pokes in the eyes (all Sophie's doing, although Ivy's getting pretty good at gauging eyes) made me wonder if the girls would ever play together, much less be best friends.

Yes, yes, I know. Patience. Now that Ivy can sit up by herself and scoot around a bit (she started going forward today), she's more than a doll to Sophie.

Sophie's favorite thing to do is take the bucket full of random puzzle pieces and blocks and dump it in Ivy's lap. It keeps Ivy happy, and I'm allowed to leave the room for a few minutes without her crying.

It is SO great when they start to play together! Like, REALLY play. Right now, Gracie is in her ballerina dress and Annelie is dressed like Cinderella and they are playing Peter Pan - flying around the room, swimming with mermaids and fighting Captain Hook, included.

And last night, they spent about an hour in front of their doll house playing together. SO GREAT!

Those pictures are so cute!! Your girls look like little dolls.
